1971
Filadelfo Milone opens his bakery "Il fornaio" after years of apprenticeship with his wife Caterina in Piazza Duomo, the beating heart of Lentinese commerce. Thanks to Filadelfo's mastery and the sweetness of his wife, they become the first two great pillars that set up the great history and tradition, becoming a must for Lentinese bakery.
1986
With the growing family Filadelfo and Caterina decide to share their passion with their children with Angelo, Rosa Maria and Pina. By moving production to another district more decentralized to the "sports field", but with ample space to invest in equipment and expand production, while the resale always remains in the streets. The years pass and the market changes, the neighborhood of the "sports field" becomes more and more central in the life of Lentinese with the construction of schools, supermarkets and the birth of new businesses. This makes it almost natural to invest to start selling their products in the neighborhood while continuing to sell in the square as well.
2006
Over the years and with the need for new recruits, Giuseppe Russo (Rosa Maria's son) proposes to try to learn the art and discover its secrets as a simple apprentice under the guidance of the masters Filadelfo and Angelo. "I will always be grateful for the experience and hard apprenticeship made with my masters, who in addition to the technique have transmitted to me the passion and knowledge of raw materials." 2013
The death of the great maestro Filadelfo and the years that advance bring a new company asset: thus "Il pane di Giuseppe Russo & C." was born. The great entrepreneurial knowledge and great views of Agostino made change and innovation possible, leading to the expansion with pastry, rotisserie, ice cream parlor. A big step followed by large investments with the expansion of the production team by inserting high-caliber professionals with twenty years of experience in the sector.
2019
With the death of Agostino in 2015, Giuseppe effectively became the administrator of the company, managing to continue the work of his father, from whom he inherited his passion and technique. The company today is constantly growing with the contribution of new recipes, new products, new projects. Today the staff consists of 10 elements. All collaborate synergistically in their production sectors with self-denial and a spirit of belonging. 10 professionals. 10 families that become a larger one which is "Giuseppe Russo's bread".
